<p>This is an ongoing project of mine, I wanted to develop a simple web application for myself, something that I could use on a daily basis and something that would test and improve my skills. So I came up with a little task managing application, I realize there are probably several million task managing/GTD style apps around but oh well, this one&#8217;s just for me. I&#8217;ve been working on a lot of imageless (CSS3) web design at the moment, so following that theme, this one uses no images what so ever, just HTML, CSS and jQuery.</p>
<p>It seems I&#8217;m not the only one who likes the idea of creating sites and apps with only CSS, some amazing example are - <a title="CSS Fail Whale" href="http://www.subcide.com/articles/pure-css-twitter-fail-whale/" target="_blank">CSS Fail Whale</a>, <a href="http://graphicpeel.com/cssiosicons" target="_blank">CSS iPhone icons</a>, <a href="http://general-metrics.com/Safari/" target="_blank">Safari inside Safari</a> and the <a href="http://demos.jeffbatterton.com/iphone-css3/" target="_blank">CSS Iphone</a>.</p>
<p>Compared to these my efforts feel pretty mediocre, but it all works and it was fun to do, here&#8217;s some screencaps of the interface.</p>
<p><span id="more-222"></span></p>
<div id="attachment_227" class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 660px"><a href="http://aurer.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/02.jpg"><img class="size-large wp-image-227" title="Taskman - main screen" src="http://aurer.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/02-650x423.jpg" alt="" width="650" height="423" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The main screen</p></div>
